The capital city of Cyprus is Nicosia and it is the largest and most toured city. Cyprus is divided into main six districts Nicosis, Famagusta, Larnaca, Limassol ,Ayia Napa and Paphos.

 

The country has  plains in the center and mountains to the north and south coast is a mix of plains and mountains. Population consists of Greek Orthodox, with Muslim minority.

Oil used for cooking food is basically the Olive oil .Baked food ,honey soaked buns, brandy and other Greek food are also some of the tasty dishes of Cyprus.

 

Cypriot meze (appetizers akin to Spanish tapas) and  Halloumi (Χαλλουμι) is a uniquely Cypriot cheese, made from a mix of cow's and sheep's milk. Hard and salty when raw, it mellows  are favorite among restaurants.

Languages spoken in Cyprus are Greek, Turkish, English .Other common languages spoken on the island are French, German and especially - with large numbers of Russian and businessmen - Russian.

Beaches are popular for their tortoise and very rare plants and animals. You can enjoy all kinds of water sports ,have the great variety of fruit juices and wines made from fruits grown up in Cyprus because import of fruits are not allowed .

 

Historically, Cyprus has been at the crossroads between Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa, with lengthy periods of mainly Greek and intermittent Anatolian, Levantine, and British influences. Thus, it is generally considered a transcontinental island.
