Cypriot meze (appetizers akin to Spanish tapas) and Halloumi (Χαλλουμι) is a uniquely Cypriot cheese, made from a mix of cow's and sheep's milk. Hard and salty when raw, it mellows are favorite among restaurants.

Most of the culture and traditions of the country are visible in the festivals and dance carnivals organized all around the year .The Turkish and Greek ancient culture is maintained but a set of new modern values have also invaded the place in the previous 20 years. Languages spoken in Cyprus are Greek, Turkish, English .Other common languages spoken on the island are French, German and especially - with large numbers of Russian and businessmen - Russian. To market you can go to Ayia Napa and buy wine like the Commandaria or Zivania .

There are many offshore business developed and the Cypriot economy is growing and has diversified in recent years. The country now is very modern and maintains a very high standard of living with property rates tripling in three years .
