Nicosia is the capital city of
Cyprus. The
capital Nicosia remains divided since 1974. The UN buffer zone
separates the two sectors.
Nicosia was attacked by Turks in 1974 that enforced the traditional culture to the city but from the last 20 years it is developing into a very modern society with a section of people accepting the modern values. The administrative building and presidential house of Cyprus are located in Nicosia.
Some of the tour spots and monuments to be visited in Nicosia are The Statue of Makarios III at the Archiepiscopal Palace, The Presidential Palace, Part of the Modern section of the city

It can be toured in two part the north Nicosia and the South Nicosia.
The north nicosis has many museums like the Lapidari Museum of
